Ontario Place is offering free admission to their grounds to celebrate their 40th anniversary. The free admission includes Canada Day fireworks, daily events, and live shows (not including concerts at the Molson Amphitheatre). Rides and attractions, however, are offered on a pay-as-you-play basis. For example, the Wilderness Adventure Ride, mini golf, pedal and bumper boats, Mega Bounce, Free Fall, and First Flight are all $5. The Cinesphere IMAX 3D  is $5 during the day and $15 during evenings. Soaker City slides are only available if you purchase a Toronto Star Play All Day Pass. The passes cost $29 for those 48″ and up, $15 for children (40″-48″) and Seniors (65+), and $99 for a family pass (up to 4 people). If you are just into wandering around Ontario Place, enjoying the free daily events, sipping a drink dockside at the Marina Grille, and perhaps going on a ride or two, you’re better off not buying the All Day Pass and instead choosing the pay-as-you-play option. If you’ve got the kids in tow, you’re probably going to want to skip the free admission and go straight for the All Day Pass.
