Toronto Concerts in Summer 2011

You know summer’s here when the big guns hit the Toronto concert stage. The Foo Fighters, Katy Perry, and Taylor Swift are some of the headliners at the Air Canada Centre, while Ontario Place’s Molson Amphitheatre, Toronto’s ultimate outdoor summer concert venue, has lined up 70s and 80s acts Supertramp, Peter Frampton, Journey, and Motley Crue. There’s arguably not a better spot to enjoy a balmy summer evening, absorbing the tunes of your favourite band or artist, while cooled by the breezes off of Lake Ontario. Other highlights include nineties grunge band Soundgarden’s first tour in 14 years, Toronto’s own Drake hitting the hometown stage, as well as Canadian favourites The Tragically Hip and Broken Social Scene in an all-out Canada Day bash at Downsview Park.
