Respected and revered former Toronto Blue Jay Roy Halladay returns to Toronto for the first time since being traded to the Philadelphia Phillies in 2009 to pitch to his former teammates, the Toronto Blue Jays at Rogers Centre on Saturday, July 2, 2011 at 1 p.m. The popular two-time Cy Young award winner was a pitcher with the Toronto Blue Jays from 1998 to 2009 and will ensure a sell-out crowd on July 2. The Jays-Phillies series is one of six inter-league series the Jays will play this season.

Halladay, who is off to a great start with a 9-3 win-loss record this season, pitched two no-hitters in the 2010 season with the Phillies. The first 10,000 fans attending the Blue Jays game on July 1 Canada Day (1 p.m. start) will receive a Canada Day t-shirt.
