If you’re a country music fan and enjoy camping, you’re probably going to want to check out the Havelock Country Jamboree running from August 18-21, 2011. Havelock is 40 km east of Peterborough, Ontario, right smack in the middle of the Kawarthas. The Jamboree is in its 22nd year and will feature big name country artists such as Martina McBride, Johnny Reid, Sawyer Brown, Joe Nichols, Billy Currington, Pam Tillis, Lorrie Morgan, Shenandoah and Tommy Hunter on two stages. Camping is a big part of the jamboree and there are in fact 17 camping areas; 15 of which are designated family camping and two are for late night camping (little or no chance of sleeping). Adult weekend pass including camping is $245, youth (10-15) weekend pass is $155, while children nine and under are free. Reserved camping for two adults with camping from Fri., Aug. 12 to Sun., Aug. 21, 2011 is $625. One day tickets are available for $135.
