The Yonge Dundas Square “Tuesdays at Sunset” free outdoor movie night will be showing Dirty Dancing on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at 8:57 p.m. The 80s musical, which runs 1 hour and 40 minutes, stars Patrick Swayze as a dance teacher at a fashionable summer resort in the early 60s, and Baby (Jennifer Grey) as a well-to-do vacationer who falls for Swayze. Although the story line is a bit cheesy, the film is notable for the sizzling dance sequences between the professionally-trained Swayze and Grey. Look for Law & Order‘s Jerry Orbach as Baby’s father.
Later in the month on Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at 8:53 p.m., Moulin Rouge hits the Yonge-Dundas outdoor screen. Kidman proved that she had a decent singing voice and earned an Academy Award nomination for her efforts.

With a score penned by Leonard Bernstein and Stephen Sondheim, you’ll walk away singing “America,” “Tonight,” and “Somewhere.”
