Why not take advantage of Toronto’s short summer season by enjoying some outdoor time watching a movie in the park? Downsview Park‘s “Movies Under the Stars” features free movies every Friday night in the summer until Friday, August 31, 2011. Movies start at 9 p.m. or a few minutes earlier if the sun has set. Be sure to bring blankets, folding chairs, mosquito spray, food and beverages (no alcohol). Dogs on leashes are permitted. In the event of rain, there is an alternative location in the park, which will be clearly marked on signs. Portable washrooms are on site.
