The ALL CAPS! Island Festival coming to Toronto Islands on Saturday, August 13 and Sunday, August 14, 2011 will be the first music festival to allow overnight camping on the Islands. The all ages festival, which will be located on the westerly point of the Toronto Islands at Gibraltar Point, will feature limited camping on the grounds, as well as film screenings, art exhibits, swimming, BBQ and bonfire. Indie artists scheduled to perform include Monogrenade, Steamboat, Julie Doiron, The Wooden Sky, Muskox, Dog Bus, Rich Aucoin, More or Les, Evening Hymns, Moon King and Jenn Castle. Previously, only the Boy Scouts and Girl Guides of Canada have received permits to camp on Snake Island. Ticket prices are Sat $12 advance, $15 door; Sun $12 advance, $15 door; Weekend Pass (no camping) $20 advance, $25 door; and Camping Pass (including full festival access) $40.
