The Scotiabank Toronto International BuskerFest will come to the St. Lawrence Market neighbourhood on August 25-28, 2011. The 12th annual Toronto street performers festival will feature silent comedy, daredevils, magicians and acrobats, as well as aerialists, clowns and puppets. Street performers will be appearing from Australia, Sweden, Mexico, Ireland and Spain among others. The “Magic Corner” stage, located behind the FlatIron Building, will be dedicated exclusively to magic.
For those looking for some refreshment, Fionn MacCool’s Beer Garden will be open on Church Street, just south of Front Street. Tantalizing fire acts will be on display at the Fire Show on Friday, August 26, 2011 at 9:30 p.m. at the Scotiabank Stage (Front and Church Streets). The show will also feature Australia’s FlameOz, The Fire Guy and Suspended Animation Circus. Admission to the BuskerFest is with a voluntary donation to Epilepsy Toronto. All proceeds from the Fire Show will be donated to Epilepsy Toronto and Scotiabank will match each dollar donated by audience members.
