If you’re looking for a Toronto opportunity to volunteer either to meet new people, gain work skills or gain volunteer hours for high school community service programs, Scotiabank Nuit Blanche 2011 has many volunteer positions for their all-night contemporary art event on Saturday, October 1, 2011 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Volunteers must be at least 16 years old and may work as Information Ambassadors, Project Facilitators, and Ushers, or if experienced, Assistant Stage Managers, Docents, Volunteer Captains and Artist Assistants. A commitment of 12-15 hours during the 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. event is required.

Nuit Blanche is divided into three zones: Zone A – Downtown North, which includes the ROM, Gardiner Museum, Hart House at U of T, Casa Loma and the Bata Shoe Museum; Zone B – Downtown Central, which includes art exhibitions at OCAD, Ryerson University and the Distillery District; or Zone C – Downtown South/West, which includes contemporary art events at the Drake Hotel, the Gladstone Hotel, Liberty Village, Trinity Bellwoods Park, National Film Board Mediatheque and TIFF.
