Move over, Brazen Head; William’s Landing has settled into Liberty Village and its splendid patio will rival its neighbour for TFC fans and Liberty Village dwellers alike. William’s Landing’s patio, which is centered by a gorgeous open-air bar, overlooks the Liberty Market, and is the new focal point of the village. A visit on opening party day started off with confusion among waitstaff, but quickly fell into step with friendly and prompt service provided by waitstaff, Ben. The summer-themed menu includes patio-friendly favourites such as funghi pizza ($14) or pescatore pizza, which comes with shrimp, scallops and crab ($17), new takes on salads such as cheddar and apple with grapes and spiced cashews ($10) and veggie, cuban or turkey burgers in the $12-$17 price range. The cobb salad ($15) was a satisfying mix of chicken, egg and bacon, accompanied by several slices of perfectly-ripe avocado. The redemption burger ($14) topped with a slab of old cheddar hit the mark. The menu is rounded out by pasta and meat entrees in the $20-$27 range. A good selection of white and red wines is available by the glass in 6 oz. ($7-$12) or 9 oz. ($12-$17) servings while pints are $6-$6.50.
Sports fans, of which there surely will be many, will enjoy watching the HDTV screens situated at the bar and at both corners of the patio. Patio patrons can wave to the remaining customers across the street at Brazen Head.
