Sceneopolis, a company offering discounts to arts and culture events geared to the Gen Y crowd, is holding its opening launch party, A Night to be Scene, at Brassaii Restaurant and Lounge, 461 King Street West (west of Spadina) on Friday, October 14, 2011 at 9:30 p.m. Guests will receive complimentary hors d’oeuvres and cocktails sponsored by Absolut Vodka while listening and dancing to tunes spun by DJ Vinney gruvhunter and DJ Bingo Bob. TV personality Mike Chalut will host the evening. Tickets for Sceneopolis launch party are $20 and can be purchased online. If you become a subscriber of Sceneopolis (annual fee is $45), you’ll get in to the party for free.
Sceneopolis offers discounts of up to 40% off the ticket price to popular Toronto arts and entertainment events such as those offered by Mirvish Theatre, Dancap, Soulpepper Theatre, the ROM, Tarragon and Factory Theatre. Each week, three to five featured events in Toronto will be offered for sale at discounted prices. In addition, Sceneopolis subscribers receive discounts for pre-show dinners, as well as invites to post-show events.
