Mike Farrell, political activist and actor, well known for his role on the seventies’ drama, M*A*S*H, joins high profile criminal defence lawyer Edward Greenspan, former Death Row inmate Juan Roberto Melendez-Colon, and Canadian Coalition Against the Death Penalty (CCADP) founders Tracy Lamourie and Dave Parkinson in a panel discussion on the death penalty in Toronto on October 28, 2011 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Injustice Speaks – Discussion on the Death Penalty is hosted by the Association In Defence Of The Wrongly Convicted (AIDWYC), an organization that has successfully helped exonerate Steven Truscott, Guy Paul Morin, David Milgaard and Robert Baltovich. The discussion should raise impassioned opinions in light of the recent controversial execution of Troy Davis in Georgia. Tickets are $100 ($35 for students), include a wine reception and hors d’oeuvres and can be purchased by calling 416-504-7500 X221. All proceeds from this fundraising event go to the AIDWYC.
