Bring your dog to Winter Woofstock at the Direct Energy Centre at Exhibition Place on November 19 and 20, 2011 and have a barking good time. Enjoy shows and events that celebrate the canine world and meet with numerous exhibitors who are featuring the latest in dog food, dog treats, dog fashions, animal rehabilitation, dog kennels, dog treadmills and dog magazines.
Before shopping among the vendors or taking in the shows, enjoy Breakfast with Santa at 10 a.m. each day where your dog will have the chance to get his photo taken with Santa, as well as receive a small gift. Dogs who celebrate Hanukkah can pose for a picture with a menorah. Get there early as this event is limited to the first 200 dogs and owners.
Other exciting events at this annual dog show include the Mr. and Mrs. Canine Canada Pageant on Saturday and Sunday at 1 p.m. If your dog is pageant-worthy, register him for the contest at the Woofstock Contest Registration Booth between 10 a.m. and noon each day. Is your dog not keeping up with his fashion sense? Then get him to take in the Woofstock Fashion Show where the latest doggie winter coats, scarfs, hats and booties will be modeled on the dogwalk. If your dog is gifted, you may want to enter him in the Rescue Me Winter Games that take place Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and include:
- Ball-der-Dash – Your dogs’ retrieving skills will be evaluated
- Hoop-La – Your dog will compete based on his sitting skills in this game similar to musical chairs, but without the chairs.
- My Dog Can Do That – Show off your dog’s obedience skills and other tricks
- Spoon Zoom – Walk with your dog while holding an object without spilling it.

Are you looking for a canine companion? Toronto Animal Services will be featuring a dog adoption on the Main Stage each day at 11:50 a.m., 12:20 p.m. and 2:30 p.m.
After all the day’s excitement, why not take your dog to see the Toronto Marlies at the Ricoh Coliseum? Buy a ticket for Take Your Dog to the Game and watch the Marlies play against the Peoria Rivermen with your pet in tow.
