Van Halen Announces Toronto Date for 2012 Concert Tour

Van Halen announced last night that they will make a stop on their 2012 concert tour at Air Canada Centre in Toronto on March 17, 2012. The tour will include original lead singer David Lee Roth, as well as Wolfgang Van Halen, Eddie Van Halen’s son, who will replace original band member Michael Anthony on bass.  The tour will be Van Halen’s first since the band’s reunion tour in 2007. Van Halen will release their upcoming CD, A Different Kind of Truth, on February 7, 2012, with the lead-off single, “Tattoo,” being released on January 10, 2012. Kool & the Gang will open for Van Halen on select tour dates. Other Canadian dates for Van Halen’s 2012 tour include:

March 15, 2012 – Montreal – Bell Centre

March 21, 2012 – Ottawa – Scotiabank Place

May 7, 2012 – Vancouver – Rogers Arena

May 9, 2012 – Calgary – Scotiabank Saddledome

May 11, 2012 – Edmonton – Rexall Place

May 17, 2012 – Winnipeg – MTS Centre

In addition, Van Halen will play the nearby First Niagara Center in Buffalo, New York on March 9, 2012. Pre-sale tickets for Van Halen’s Toronto concert date go on sale on January 10, 2012 at 10 a.m. at Ticketmaster. The Ottawa concert tickets go on sale on January 14, 2012 at 10 a.m.
