Don’t blink too long because Family Day weekend is just around the corner and you know the kids are going to want to do something special. Although there are many Family Day events in Toronto, you may want to consider taking the kids to the Toronto Kids Fest at the International Centre running from Feb. 18 – 20, 2012. The indoor inflatable festival includes 38 of some of North America’s largest indoor inflatable rides.
Admission to Toronto Kids Fest is free, although access to the inflatable rides requires a paid wristband and some activities require a fee. The free activities available at Toronto Kids Fest include:
- Meet’n’greet with Larry the Cucumber and Bob the Tomato from Veggie Tales
- Meet’n’greet with The LORAX, character from the new Dr. Seuss movie
- Magic shows
- Juggling shows
- Birds of Prey shows featuring birds from around the world such as the Turkey Vulture, Bald Eagle, Barn Owl, Peregrine Falcon and Red-tailed Hawk
- Children’s marketplace

Kids’ activities that require a fee include carnival games, face painting, rock exploring and sluice mining. (Fees for these activities have not been established yet.) Pony rides will be available for $5.
The Toronto Kids Fest takes place Saturday, February 18, Sunday, February 19 and Monday, February 20, 2012 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wristbands for inflatable rides are $25 including HST; toddler wristbands are $15 including HST.
