British alternative rock band Radiohead announced that they will play a concert at Toronto’s Downsview Park on Saturday, June 16, 2012 at 5 p.m. The last time Radiohead played Toronto was August 15, 2008 at the Molson Amphitheatre in support of their independently-released CD, In Rainbows, which ended up winning a 2009 Grammy for Best Alternative Music Album.
The band released two new singles, “Indentikit” and “Cut a Hole” in February 2012.
Tickets for the Downsview Park Radiohead concert go on sale on Radiohead’s website on Thursday, March 8, 2012. Tickets are $81. Live Nation is having a pre-sale on Thursday, March 8, 2012 at 10 a.m. The password for the Live Nation Radiohead pre-sale is “saxophone”. Tickets go on sale to the general public at Ticketmaster on Friday, March 9, 2012 at noon.
