The 25th Annual Toronto St. Patrick’s Day Parade will kick off at St. George and Bloor Streets on Sunday, March 11, 2012 at noon. The weather forecast is calling for a balmy 14° C for parade day so there will be no battling the elements as you enjoy the marching bands playing Celtic tunes in honour of Ireland’s patron saint.

The St. Patty’s Day parade will continue east along Bloor Street, then turn south on Yonge Street and west to Nathan Phillips Square. The parade length is estimated at 1 1/2 hours. If you’re coming to the parade by subway, the best stops to access the parade are St. George, Yonge, Wellesley, College, Dundas and Queen. Duck into one of Toronto’s Irish pubs after the parade for a Guinness and some bangers and mash or Irish stew.

Bring a friend with you on the parade route tomorrow because, as the Irish say, “Giorraionn Beirt Bóthar” or “Two people shorten the journey.”
