
The sixth annual Green Living Show in Toronto takes place April 13-15, 2012 at the Direct Energy Centre and this year, visitors will be able to see the latest eco-friendly goods and services featured at over 450 exhibits, as well as watch demonstrations and presentations. The Green Toronto Awards will award businesses and individuals who have demonstrated eco-leadership on Friday, April 13, 2012 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Canadian singer Suzie McNeil will perform and Citytv’s Sangita Patel hosts.
The Green Living Test Drive allows participants to test drive some of the latest low-emission green cars. Sign up for test drives at automotive exhibitors’ booths at the show.
Kids can visit the EcoKids Zone adventure area and create crafts including seed balls, play games such as Eco-Tic-Tac-Toe and visit the live animal stage that will showcase live bird demonstrations every day.
On Sunday from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., yoga enthusiasts can take part in the New Leaf Yogathon fundraiser sponsored by Moksha Yoga. Classes will be taught by Downward Dog’s Diane Bruni, the Yoga Sanctuary’s Cynthia Funk and Erin Monaghan, Moksha yoga teacher. A $15 donation to the class will get you free admission to the Green Living Show.
Green Living Show hours are Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Adults are $15, Seniors (65+) $11, Students (13-17) $11 and 12 and under free. Recycle your electronic waste including old cell phones, cordless phones, pagers, modems, cameras, tape players, answering machines, printers, CD-ROM drives, keyboards, mouse or disk drive and receive free admission to the show.
