If you’ve been riveted by the crime drama, CSI, you may be interested in checking out the Crime Scene Simulation Studio and Forensic Lab at the Humber Centre for Justice Leadership, which will be open to the public on Sat., May 26, 2012 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., as a new addition to Doors Open Toronto 2012. Visitors will be able tour the studio and Forensic Lab, which includes a 65-seat lecture theatre, a one-bedroom apartment for crime scene re-enactments and interview rooms as well as watch simulated crime scene evidence being processed in the lab.

Students taking Humber’s Crime Scene Investigation Diploma learn about DNA and blood profiling, crime scene analysis, fingerprint classification, handwriting analysis, criminal profiling and court testimony, which helps them advance in their law enforcement careers.

Humber College’s Behaviour Sciences (Technology) program can be completed in six months. Bursaries are available for students in the program.
