
Kicking off a series of summer music festivals in Toronto, the Waterfront Blues Festival takes place in the Beach at Woodbine Park from Fri., June 1 to Sun., June 3, 2012. The Waterfront Blues Festival is free for everyone and includes big names blues artists such as Blues Music Award nominee Tad Robinson, Grammy Award nominee John Primer and Monkey Junk, as well as soul, funk and R&B artists. Shakura S’Aida, the Lionel Young Band, the Johnny Max Band, Eugene Hideaway Bridges, Erin McCallum and Chris Antonik will fill out the roster.
Free blues performances will take place on Friday from 6 to 10 p.m., Saturday from noon to 10 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 8 p.m. Visitors to the Waterfront Blues Festival will be able to buy beer, red and white wine and spritzers at the beer tent and purchase food including pizza, burgers and barbeque meals from on site vendors.
Woodbine Park is located at Lake Shore Blvd. E. and Northern Dancer Blvd. (just east of Coxwell Ave.).
