The stage has been erected and fans have been lining up for days to get a coveted wristband for the 2012 Much Music Video Awards, one of Toronto’s largest street parties, which take place Sunday, June 17, 2012 at 9 p.m. at the parking lot at Bell Media Queen Street, 299 Queen Street West. Returning this year to perform are Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Hedley, Kelly Clarkson, Nelly Furtado and Marianas Trench, as well as Carly Rae Jepsen, Flo Rida and Ed Sheeran. LMFAO will cohost the show.
MMVA presenters include Cody Simpson, Darren Criss, Down With Webster, Kelly Osbourne, Lucy Hale, Chord Overstreet, Shenae Grimes, Anjulie, These Kids Wear Crowns, Rico Rodriguez, Conor Maynard, Jesse Metcalfe, Shawn Desman, Perez Hilton and Victoria Duffield.
If you weren’t one of the lucky ones who camped out for three days to get a wristband, you can still attend the 2012 MMVAs by lining up to be part of the red carpet or watching the rehearsals or live show from the street. Performers perform on the Parking Lot Stage and the John Street Stage. The MMVAs will air live on MuchMusic on Sunday, June 17, 2012 at 9 p.m. with the red carpet show at 8 p.m.
