Gordon Lightfoot will return to Toronto’s Massey Hall from Nov. 14 to 17, 2012 to perform his regularly-anticipated concert run. If you attend the Nov. 17th concert, you’ll get to celebrate with Lightfoot as he turns 74 that day.
Lightfoot recently received long-overdue-recognition for his prolific writing talents by being inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in June 2012. Bob Dylan, Barbra Streisand, Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley, Hank Williams Jr. and The Dandy Warhols are only some of the big-name artists who have recorded Lightfoot’s songs. Lightfoot classics include “Sundown,” “Ribbon of Darkness,” “The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald,” “If You Could Read My Mind,” “Carefree Highway,” “Did She Mention My Name” and “Rainy Day People.” Although Lightfoot has won 16 Junos, incredibly he has never won a Grammy, although he has been nominated five times.
Tickets for Gordon Lightfoot are $85, $70 and $45 and can be purchased online.
