R&B, rock and jazz legend Boz Scaggs will be appearing at the TD Toronto Jazz Festival on Friday, June 28, 2013 at 8 p.m. Scaggs experienced enormous success in the seventies with his album, Silk Degrees, that spawned hits including “Lowdown,” “Lido Shuffle,” “It’s Over,” “We’re All Alone” and “What Can I Say.” Scaggs’s album, Middle Man, released in 1980, produced two more hits, “Breakdown Dead Ahead” and “JoJo.” Scaggs then collaborated with David Foster to pen the song, “Look What You’ve Done to Me,” for the soundtrack of the John Travolta flick, Urban Cowboy.

Beginning his career as a guitarist with the Steve Miller Band, Scaggs then left to pursue a solo career, where he performed with Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section and Duane Allman.

Scaggs released Memphis in March 2013, which is his first studio album in five years and continues to tour with Donald Fagan and Michael McDonald in their band, Dukes of September.

Tickets for Boz Scaggs at the TD Toronto Jazz Festival, Toronto Star Stage at Nathan Phillips Square, go on sale Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at Ticketmaster or by calling 1-855-985-5000.
