Mother’s Day Tea and Truffle at Toronto Botanical Garden

Take your mother for a tea and chocolate pairing at the Toronto Botanical Garden on Sunday, May 11, 2014 from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. You’ll learn how to select and brew teas while enjoying fine tea from Sloane Fine Tea Merchants and chocolate directly infused with tea. Cost is TBC members $50 plus tax and non-members $65 plus tax.

Montgomery’s Inn, Etobicoke

Montgomery’s Inn at 4709 Dundas Street West will be serving Mother’s Day Tea on Sunday, May 11, 2014 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. This old Etobicoke inn will feature an afternoon tea with cream scones with crème fraîche, gooseberry jam and lemon tarts. Mother’s Day Tea at Black Creek Pioneer Village

Enjoy a Mother’s Day Tea in a Victorian setting at Black Creek Pioneer Village on Sunday, May 11, 2014 with sittings at 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Mother’s Day Tea includes selected loose leaf teas, finger sandwiches such as maple curried chicken salad, cucumber and cream cheese, lemon Woolwich goat cheese and watercress, maple Dijon ham and Swiss cheese, scones with preserves, strawberry shortcake, petit fours, tarts, non-alcoholic punch and fair trade organic coffee. Market Tour and Tea at St. Lawrence Market

Take a tour of St. Lawrence Market with historian Bruce Bell then enjoy afternoon tea. The King Edward Hotel is offering a Mother’s Day Tea at Victoria’s on Saturday, May 10, 2014 from 2:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. The tea includes finger sandwiches such as egg and asparagus, lobster and shrimp, ham with mustard onion marmalade, chicken and mango, smoked salmon and cucumber; pastries; and scones with Devonshire Cream. You can choose from a selection of fine loose leaf teas including Spiced Chai, Darjeeling Oolong, English Breakfast, Earl Grey, Lemon Verbena, Floral Jasmine, Golden Assam, Organic Green and Lapsang Souchong.
