Fort York is a fabulous venue for a concert. It’s a historic site, it’s outdoors and it’s kitty corner to the hot Niagara and Liberty Village neighbourhoods. Fort York hosts only a few concerts a year so if you want to check it out, the Arts & Crafts label and artist management company will be hosting the Field Trip Music & Arts Festival on Saturday, June 8, 2913. Broken Social Scene, one of the label’s artists, will return from hiatus to co-headline the concert along with Feist.

The festival will feature two stages with Arts & Crafts’ performers. In addition to Broken Social Scene and Feist, artists include Timber Timbre, Hayden, Bloc Party, Still Life Still, The Darcys, Cold Specks, Zeus, Trust, Ra Ra Riot, Jason Collett, Gold & Youth and others.

There may still be $75 general admission tickets on sale at Rotate This at 801 Queen Street West and Soundscapes at 572 College Street. These tickets are subject to a vendor service fee and a $3.50 facility fee. Ticketmaster still has tickets for $93.50 that include a $15 service fee and a $3.50 facility fee.

You’ll also be able to view local art and enjoy gourmet food at the festival that celebrates not only its artists, but the Toronto cultural scene.

The Field Trip Music and Arts Festival starts at 12 p.m. on Saturday, June 8, 2013 with music starting at 1 p.m. and finishing at 11 p.m. Admission for kids is free. Get outside and enjoy the music.
