With summer here and blistering temperatures in the forecast, many Toronto families and couples are thinking about a summer vacation in Muskoka. If you want to avoid the congestion of Muskoka yet still remain in cottage country, you may want to try Parry Sound, which is a 25 minute drive northwest of Muskoka. Like Muskoka, Parry Sound still features whistling pine trees and wind-swept islands throughout Georgian Bay that were the subject of many Group of Seven paintings. The following Parry Sound cottage resorts offer lakefront views and comfortable accommodations for a moderate price. Don’t forget to stop in at Henry’s Fish Restaurant on the water if you are boating near San Souci.
