Here are a few more reasons to head to southwestern Ontario this fall. Carly Rae Jepsen and rock legends from the 70s will be appearing at the Norfolk County Fair and Horse Show in Simcoe, Ontario from October 8-14, 2013. Jepsen will appear at the fair’s Grandstand on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at 8 p.m.
Jepsen had one of the biggest hits of 2012 with her catchy “Call Me Maybe,” which has received almost a half a billion hits on youtube.
For fans of 70s soft rock, you won’t want to miss “Sail Rock” featuring Christopher Cross (“Ride Like The Wind,” “Sailing”), Orleans (“Dance With Me,” “Still The One”), John Ford Coley (“I’d Really Love to See You Tonight,” “Nights Are Forever Without You”), Player (“Baby Come Back”) and Gary Wright (“Dreamweaver,” “Love Is Alive “Made to Love You”). Reserved seating tickets for “Sail Rock” are $25.
General admission seats are included with your fair ticket. Reserved seating tickets go on sale on Thursday, August 15, 2013 at 9 a.m. and can be purchased online or by phoning (519) 426-7280 x 233.
While you’re at the fair, you can check out the Western horse show, horse pull, agricultural displays, craft exhibits, food vendors, art demonstrations, midway rides and talent competitions. The Norfolk County Fair and Horse Show is the fourth largest fair in Ontario, with an annual attendance of over 100,000 visitors. General admission is $9 (advance price) and $27 for an all-day midway pass (advance price).
