The Word On The Street returns to Toronto for it’s 24th season. The much-loved fall literary festival takes place on Sunday, September 22, 2013 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Queen’s Park Circle. You’ll be able to hear authors reading from their works, as well as shop for popular and lesser known books.
Some of the authors appearing on stage include Linwood Barclay, Joy Fielding, L. Marie Adeline, Austin Clarke, Bruce Poon Tp, Susanna Kearsley and Maureen Jennings. Actor Colin Mochrie will be at the Remarkable Reads Tent from 2:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. while actor and author Meg Tilly will be at the Bestsellers Stage from 1:45 p.m. to 2:15 p.m.
The family-friendly event also features a section of the festival, KidStreet, where children can enjoy programming on the TVO Kids Stage, in the TD Children’s Literature Tent and in the Children’s Activity Tent.
