Malcolm Gladwell, The New Yorker Magazine writer and author of bestsellers The Tipping Point, Outliers, Blink and What the Dog Saw will speak with Professor and former Rotman School of Management Dean, Roger Martin, on October 25, 2013 at the University of Toronto’s Convocation Hall. Gladwell will discuss his new book, David and Goliath: Underdogs, Misfits and the Art of Battling Giants.

In a time when the 99% is rising up against the 1%, when multi-national corporations are being attacked for selfish practices and governments are being scrutinized more than ever for corruption, Gladwell’s book presents a timely message about the success of underdogs. Through a review of the conflicts in Northern Ireland and the Civil Rights Movement, Gladwell demonstrates how those with disadvantages overcame their challenges to achieve their goals, certainly a refreshing and encouraging message.

Tickets for Malcolm Gladwell at Convocation Hall are $32 plus 5% HST and include a signed copy of David and Goliath. You do not have to be a student or graduate of the Rotman School of Management to attend the event.
