Torontonicity was invited to attend a Spa Social evening on Richmond Street West on October 9, 2013 to preview some of the spa treatments that will be offered for only $50 during WaySpa Spa Week from October 15-21, 2013. Aestheticians from some of the participating spas in Spa Week including Bellagio Beauty DaySpa, Rain Spa and Salon and European Touch Beauty Centre were on hand providing complimentary spa treatments.
After a busy day at work, I hightailed it over to get the first chair massage offered by Donald at Rain Spa & Salon. Donald definitely had the magic touch and I was completely transported and ready to enjoy more treatments. Momo, Rain’s make-up artist, touched up my makeup after the massage with some beautiful fall colours. Smooch® lipstick gave my pout a perfect pitch!
In between spa treatments, we enjoyed cocktails and delicious hors d’oeuvres including shrimp and mushroom with cucumber and veggie spring rolls in a zesty dip catered by Toben Food by Design.
My next stop was at the European Touch Beauty Centre booth for a manicure. Marina suggested trying striplac, a new pseudo-shellac process that does not damage nails like regular shellac and peels off to reveal healthy nails underneath. A striplac nail treatment costs $35 at their Mississauga salon. Marina did a phenomenal job on my nails and painted them in Shiny Rubin.
Dragana from European Touch Salon massaged a candy-scented lotion to soften my freshly painted hands: I was feeling extremely indulged.
I was offered a hydra facial by Bellagio Beauty DaySpa, but due to time constraints, I didn’t get to enjoy this treatment unfortunately.
What a fabulous evening I had getting pampered by some great aestheticians. Be sure to check out $50 specials offered at these spas during WaySpa week.
