Want to get a head start on your holiday shopping? You might want to check out The Wearable Art Show at the 918 Bathurst Arts Centre in Toronto on October 25 and 26, 2013. You’ll find original, handcrafted works of art at the show, which is now in its seventh year, among the vendor booths of 40 artists. The show will primarily highlight clothing with beading and patchwork, jewelry, handbags, hand-printed scarves and hats.

Each artist at the show has been challenged by the Fashion History Museum to design a work of art symbolizing the historical relationship between fashion and architecture. You’ll get to see the submissions at the show. New exhibitors at The Wearable Art Show include Canadian designer Linda Lundstrom, women’s jewelry designer Elizabete Ludviks, children’s milliner Lori Lavers of The Hauteur Hatter and fiber artist Shelley Fowler.

Returning exhibitors include Berna Kilic, Lois Laine, Jennifer Newman, Marie/Josette, Anna France, Bonnie Glass, Olga Goncharov, Shelley Fowler, Lori Cranson, David Dunkley, Sonja Fijn, Carolyn Barnett, Belle Boutique, Cynthia Blanton, Salome Cordeiro, Karen Gunna, Mila Posh, Lisa Ridout, Jannis Ruck, Ann Suzuki, Elina Ten, Isidora Spielmann and Olga Sara among others. The Wearable Art Show Enjoy fashion shows at show on Friday at 11:30 a.m., 2:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. and on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.

The Wearable Art Show hours are Friday, October 25, 2013 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday, October 26, 2013 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets are $10 and may be purchased online.
