Stephen King will be appearing at the PEN Canada Benefit for the International Festival of Authors along with his son, Owen King, on Friday, October 24, 2013 at 1 p.m. A new series of tickets will go on sale on Friday, October 18, ,2013 at 1 p.m. to the sold-out event. You can purchase these tickets online or by calling the Harbourfront Centre Box Office at 416-973-4000.
The event takes place on the opening night of the festival in the Fleck Dance Theatre at Harbourfront at 207 Queens Quay West and will be moderated by Canadian author Andrew Pyper. Tickets to the event are $100 with all proceeds going to PEN Canada. Each ticket holder will get the chance to have one book signed by Stephen King at 9:30 p.m. after the discussion. (Tickets do not include copies of books.)
Stephen King will discuss his new novel, Doctor Sleep, which focuses on characters from The Shining including Dan Torrance, now middle-aged. Owen King will present his debut novel, Double Feature, an examination of the creative life and the complex relationship between a B-movie actor and his filmmaker son.
