Many of us have a Christmas sweater tucked away in one of our drawers, a sweater featuring a montage of jolly snowmen, reindeer or Santa Clauses, painstakingly chosen or handknit by one of our loved ones. If you didn’t trade your holiday sweater in a post-Christmas gift swap, here’s your chance to don your festive attire. The Ugly Sweater Run, presented by Human Movement Management (HMM), takes place in Toronto on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at Downsview Park.

This run, known as the ‘Ugliest 5k on the Planet,’ is open to runners, walkers, children and your furry four-leggers. This run will get you into the holiday spirit with hot chocolate, free beer and a Winter Wonderland celebration.
At every mile, racers will be able to stop at holiday-themed stations, including a hot chocolate station. Race participants who are 19+ will receive two free Samuel Adams Boston or Winter Lagers or Angry Orchard Apple Cider. In addition, all participants will receive a custom knit hat, a mustache and free hot chocolate. Be sure to enter contests after the race to win great holiday prizes.
Race participants must wear an ugly sweater and can register for The Ugly Sweater Run online; $5 from each registration will be donated to the Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada. You can follow the Ugly Sweater Run on Facebook or Twitter.
