The event is one of the most beloved things to do in Toronto during the holidays. It takes more than 3,000 volunteers to put this parade together. The Toronto Santa Claus Parade begins at 12:30 p.m. at Christie Pits at Bloor Street West and Christie Street, proceeds east on Bloor Street then turns south on Avenue Road/University Avenue until Wellington Street where it continues east to Yonge Street, then south to Front Street and east to Jarvis Street. There are many fast food restaurants including McDonald’s, Pizza Pizza and Tim Horton’s along the parade route to get refreshments or warm up.
