You’re not dreaming: the 113th annual Toronto Santa Claus Parade is about to promenade down some of Toronto’s major streets next weekend on Sunday, November 19, 2017. The event is one of the most beloved things to do in Toronto during the holidays. It takes more than 3,000 volunteers to put this parade together. The Toronto Santa Claus Parade begins at 12:30 p.m. at Christie Pits at Bloor Street West and Christie Street, proceeds east on Bloor Street then turns south on Avenue Road/University Avenue until Wellington Street where it continues east to Yonge Street, then south to Front Street and east to Jarvis Street. There are many fast food restaurants including McDonald’s, Pizza Pizza and Tim Horton’s along the parade route to get refreshments or warm up.
Want to feel part of the crowd at the Santa Claus Parade? You can buy a red nose for $2 or 3 for $5 sold on parade day by the Royal Canadian Air Cadets. Air Cadets will also be selling red noses on Fri., Nov. 17, 2017 at Union Station (York Concourse and Bus Terminal) from 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.
If you can’t make it to the Toronto Santa Claus Parade, you can watch it from the comfort of your living room on CTV from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. EST on Sun., Nov. 19, 2017.
Ho-ho-ho, have a jolly good time at the parade!
