Torontonicity was invited to the Flirty Girl Fitness Launch Party on Thursday, November 14, 2013 at the studio’s King Street West location at 580 King Street West. When I entered, I saw that pink was the colour theme: there were pink balance balls lining the walls, pink weights, pink mats, pink punching bags, pink boxing gloves, and of course, pink boas. Tunes spun by DJ Fizza.

The Beauty Bar featured catering from The Food Dudes, lash extensions from Flashes Lash Bar, manicures from Mobile Spa Treatments and hair touch ups from Schwarzkopf. The variety of lashes at Flashes Lash Bar was amazing – from short to very long. They even had purple ones that I was quite tempted to try on. For some girls, it was their first time wearing extended lashes and they said they would do it again.
Manicures were offered to all, including men. My friend received a beautiful manicure with a luminescent charcoal grey polish. The manicurist graciously fixed my friend’s nail when she smudged it in her eagerness to try other activities too soon.

Schwarzkopf hair dressers straightened hair, did up-dos, added curls, churning out glamour by the minute.

The lights and setting was totally glam! Most people were dressed to the hilt and there was a great party atmosphere. Three ladies, dressed in feather headpieces and feather tails, danced on the window sills to DJ Fizza’s tunes. Pole dancers slithered and twirled in perpetual motion showing flexibility and surprising strength of their slim bodies.

The food was delicious. The Pole Party Room featured catering by Seventh Heaven. We were served shrimp appetizers, gnocchi with beef in gravy, gourmet macaroni and cheese, all dished out by a dynamic duo. For dessert, we couldn’t resist white chocolate mousse, raspberry lollipops and mini cupcakes with, you guessed it: pink icing.

Flirty Girl Fitness offers over 100 classes per week including Zumba, Abs & Booty, Pole Dance, Hip Hop, Video Vixen, Women & Weights, Hottie Body Boxing, Sexercise, Coyote Ugly, Chair Dancing and more. The studio’s mission is to make exercise fun. Flirty Girl Fitness has hosted numerous girl’s night outs and bachelorette parties.
We slithered over to the Lifestyle Lounge, which featured the Iceberg Vodka Bar and Wine Bar and enjoyed champagne and cocktails. What a great evening!
