Want to get your St. Paddy’s Day party on? Then check out SPD, a St. Patrick’s Day party taking place on the Toronto Waterfront on Saturday, March 15, 2014, beginning at 11 a.m. SPD will take place at the Amsterdam BrewHouse and transform the surrounding outdoor space into the Shamrock Centre.
The event begins at 11 a.m. with a live fiddler and complimentary pancake breakfast. Live entertainment will continue throughout the day in the BrewHouse and DJs will play in the Shamrock Centre. Over 2,000 guests are expected to attend.
Executive Chef Avaughn Wells of Amsterdam BrewHouse will be creating a special St. Paddy’s day event menu, which includes:
- Korean pulled pork and coleslaw on a brioche bun with kettle chips
- Irish stew with fresh break bread
- Fish and chips with tartar sauce
- Warm salted pretzels with grainy mustard.
SPD Canada will also be teaming up with Wayne’s Road Hockey Warriors. The charity was founded by Philadelphia Flyers forward Wayne Simmonds to provide the means and opportunities for underprivileged youth to get involved in hockey through equipment and monetary donations. Representatives of Wayne’s Road Hockey Warriors will be collecting donations in “make-a-change” buckets and handing out sunglasses to SPD attendees.

11 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. – DJ Dijon
2:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. – DJ Ikhan
5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. – DJ Soundbwoy
8:30 p.m. – 11 p.m. – Conor Cutz
