I’ve been looking for natural and organic skincare products to use on my skin and recently discovered Delizioso Skincare, a London, Ontario company whose products are available online. Delizioso makes 100% natural skincare products that are cruelty free, vegan, gluten free, 100% paraben free, petrochemical free and synthetic free. Founded by Ariel and Leeona Emerald, Delizioso Skincare products include pure essential oils and a natural antioxidant preservative. Delizioso provided me with several samples so that I could try the products myself.
The Tropical Bloom Eyeshadow palette from Delizioso Skincare ($42), features six highly-pigmented eyeshadow colours made from pure minerals. Since I have hazel green eyes, I decided to try the green and purple shades. Applying the eyeshadows with a brush was quite easy. The colours go on fairly smooth and if you want deeper colour, just apply another layer. Once applied on my eyelids, the green eyeshadow stayed the same colour as it was in the palette. Because I have a lot of redness in my skin, the purple eyeshadow, however, looked more scarlet on my eyes, but that was okay with me since it provided a nice contrast to my green eyes. I wore these eyeshadows all day and they did not crease, which was surprising. I also love the deeply-pigmented bright shades for summer.
I asked my niece to try on some of the other eyeshadows in the Tropical Bloom palette. She wanted to test the orange and yellow shades with her blue eyes. She applied yellow at the inner corner of her lid and orange across the lid and on the outer corner. She then gently rubbed her lids to blend the two shades. As you can see, these two colours blended beautifully together and would look great with a summer print dress on the patio. After several hours, these eyeshadows maintained their coverage with no creasing.
To test the Delizioso Cream Stick Chubby pencil in Blue Gem ($26), I again enlisted the help of my niece. The beauty of these Delizioso cream stick pencils is that they contain antioxidants, reservatrol, raw fruit oils and sea minerals that help nourish and moisturize your skin.
The pencil was very easy to apply and again, depending on the amount of pressure you use, you could achieve a light or deeper shade of blue. My niece applied a light touch with the Cream Stick pencil in Blue Gem and then gently blended it over her eyelids. As you can see, the pencil provided a light blue coverage on her lids, not too overpowering. The best thing about these cream stick shadows is they don’t contain any of the chemicals that can age your appearance.
Although I don’t wear blue eyeshadow with my green eyes, I can get away with wearing a dark blue eye pencil under my eyes so I was curious to try Delizioso’s natural eyeliner in Deep Blueberry ($18). This eyeliner pencil glided easily under my eyes and provided just a hint of blue. The colour did not run or smudge and kept in place for several hours. I will pair it with the purple eyeshadow from the Tropical Bloom eyeshadow palette.
I’m very pleased with Delizioso cosmetics. I love the fact that they are made from natural ingredients and don’t contain ingredients that will age your face. I also love how Delizioso cosmetics look on my face. I’ll definitely be making a purchase from them in the near future.
