New iogo Moment Yogourt: Review

I recently received a complimentary sample of the new iögo Moment, which is a rich yogourt with 8% M.F. I was eager to try it since I eat yogourt daily and prefer the higher fat yogourt for its higher protein content. Having said this, iögo Moment is a rich yogourt that might be too rich for people used to eating low or no fat yogourt. In fact, the packaging is very similar to a popular, high-end ice cream. If you enjoy Balkan-style or high fat Greek-style yogourt; however, you will probably enjoy iögo Moment.

What I like about iögo Moment is that it’s made with natural ingredients including whole milk, real cream and fruit. iögo Moment yogourt does not contain preservatives, gelatine, artificial colours or flavours. Some other name brand yogourts contain sucralose, an artificial sweetener so the fact that iögo Moment does not contain artificial sweeteners is important to me. The texture is rich, smooth and silky. If you prefer, you could definitely use iögo Moment stirred yogourts (Lemon or Vanilla Bean) to accompany pie instead of ice cream or whipped cream although it is sinfully satisfying on its own.

iögo Moment comes in 100 g containers in a package of four or in 500 g containers. The packaged yogourt comes in Field Strawberry, Apple-Caramel, Orange-Cranberry and Raspberry, all with fruit on the bottom. The 100 g containers are 140 calories each and contain 4 g of Protein.

The 500-g containers feature stirred yogourt in Vanilla Bean and Lemon. I tried all flavours and really enjoyed the Raspberry yogourt and the Lemon yogourt although all of them were quite good. The stirred Lemon yogourt includes lemon concentrate, which gives it a burst of flavour.

You can find iögo Moment at Fortinos, Loblaws, Zehrs, Valu-Mart, YIG, RCSS, Metro, Basics, Sobeys, FreshCo, Foodland, Longos, Coppas’s Fresh Market, Highland Farms, T&T, and Walmart. The suggested retail price is $3.99 for each size although prices may vary from store to store. I will definitely be buying iögo Moment again since it is rich in flavour and doesn’t contain artificial flavours or colours. Although not as high in protein content as the Greek yogourt that I usually buy, iögo Moment is still a good choice for a healthy snack.
