I was recently introduced to Adelphie Natural Skin Care and received several complimentary products to review. Adelphie skin care products were developed by certified aesthetician Deborah Keogh of Newmarket, Ontario and are made from natural botanical oils, extracts, and therapeutic grade essential oils, with many certified organic ingredients. Keogh applied her extensive additional training in aromatherapy when developing the Adelphie Skin Care line. What attracted to me to the Adelphie Skin Care line is they contain no sodium laureth sulphates, petroleum by-products, mineral oils, parabens, animal derivatives or artificial fragrances or colours.

Adelphie products are also plant-based and purchased from ethical Canadian suppliers, with many ingredients being organic and fair trade.
I was provided with samples of 1-2-3 Glow!, a cleanser and moisturizer all in one. First, you cleanse with 1-2-3 Glow!, rinse with water, then apply toner. You then apply 1-2-3 Glow! again as a moisturizer. I wasn’t sure how this would work, but after following the regime, I noticed my skin was smooth and hydrated and I didn’t experience any skin reactions to the product. 1-2-3 Glow! is $42 for 250 ml.
The 100% Pure Rose Hydrosol Toner, $16 (125 ml), is absolutely divine. I spritzed on a few drops of the toner after cleansing my face with 1-2-3 Glow! Cleansing Milk. The rose scent is intoxicating. Deborah suggests spraying on a few drops on hot summer days to rejuvenate your skin.
I tried the Avocado and Jasmine HA Collagen Boost Hydrating Cream and loved its rich, luxurious texture. Recommended for mature skin, the cream contains avocado oil, which helps reduce age spots while increasing collagen production…all good things in my book. The Avocado and Jasmine cream can be used as a night cream or as a day moisturizer. I tried it on a particularly cold day this week when I felt I needed extra protection and it worked for me as a day cream. You can feel the effects of the cream on your face, it’s noticeably smoother without leaving a greasy residue.

The Patchouli Rose Hand Made Cold Pressed Soap, $6, has an invigorating woodsy scent, which I love. Patchouli is said to act as an antidepressant, antiseptic, aphrodisiac, astringent, deodorant, and insecticide. Inhaling the scent of this soap definitely lifts my spirits and the soap itself produces a creamy lather that leaves your skin feeling smooth. Adelphie Cold Pressed Soaps include Coconut, Olive, Palm and Sunflower oils, Shea and Cocoa Butter, natural clays, essential oils and herbs. Other Adelphie Cold Pressed Soap scents include Lavender Oatmeal, Moisturizing Lavender, Organic Rosehip, Sweet Lemongrass, Goat’s Milk and Nag Champa.
