I was recently asked by Caseco, a company selling mobile tech accessories, to review some of their cell phone products. Since I’m using a Samsung Galaxy S4, I chose to review Caseco’s Shock Express cell phone case for that model, as well as Caseco’s Bullet dual 2 Port car charger.
Caseco Cell Phone Cases
Caseco’s cell phone cases come in many vibrant colours. The colours available for the Shock Express phone case for the Samsung Galaxy S4 are black, turquoise, red, lavender, light green, orange and white. I chose the turquoise and light green. I love the turquoise phone case. It looks like I have a new phone! I’m not one to be constantly dropping my cell phone, but I did drop it once and experienced a temporary fright, wondering if I had done any damage to the internal parts. The Shock Express phone case not only reduces damage to your phone upon impact, but it protects the controls and ports on your phone and prevents your phone from scratches. The rubber grips ensure that your phone will not slip out of your hands.

Caseco’s cell phone cases easily snapped on to the back of my Samsung Galaxy S4. The phone case feels very comfortable in my hand and the grip is solid so it won’t slip out of your hand. The case is not heavy so it doesn’t add substantial weight to my cell phone. The only difference I noticed was it seemed to take more pressure to turn on the power button since the button was covered by the case, but other than that, I was able to operate my cell phone as before.

Caseco’s cell phone cases range in price from $29.99 to $49.99 The case for the Samsung Galaxy S4, shown above, is $29.99. Caseco carries cell phone and tablet cases for the iPhone 4S, 5C, 5S, 6, 6 Plus, iPad Air and iPad Mini, Google Nexus 5, LG G3, Samsung Galaxy S3, S4, S5 including Mini and Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and 4.

Caseco Bullet 2 Port Car Charger
I also tested Caseco’s Bullet 2 Port Car Charger, $19.99, which allows you to charge your mobile devices by plugging the charger into the cigarette lighter receptacle in your car. The Bullet charger has two USB ports (4.8 AMP) so that you can charge two devices at the same time. I charged my Samsung Galaxy S4 phone using the car charger. It was about 70% charged and once I plugged my phone into the charger, the Bullet charged my phone within a few minutes. The built-in LED indicator lets you know when it’s charging, which is good because the charger did slip out of the cigarette lighter receptacle and stopped charging, but it was due to where I had placed my cell phone. As soon as I placed my cell phone closer to the cigarette lighter receptacle, it continued to charge with no problems. The Bullet is compatible with most smartphones and tablets including the iPad, iPhone, BlackBerry and Android devices. I will definitely be leaving the Bullet 2 Port Car Charger in my car to charge my devices when I’m on the run.

I love the turquoise case, too. It’s the colour of the water in all the beach vacation photos I’m always salivating over.
