Refresh Botanicals held a garden party at Sunnybrook Estates last week to launch their natural and organic beauty products. Unfortunately, I was unable to attend, but I received a complete line of the Refresh Botanicals products to review. I was impressed that Refresh Botanicals contain no gluten, animal by-products, artificial fragrances, parabens or petroleum by-products, which is what many eco-conscious consumers are looking for these days.

Refresh Botanicals are made in Canada and are 99% natural and mostly organic. In fact, each product lists the percentage of natural and organic ingredients in it. The line provides a complete product group to maintain your skin on a daily basis whether you have sensitive skin, acne or mature skin. And the best part is Refresh Botanicals is an extremely affordable natural skincare line: prices range from $18.99 to $23.99.

A great product from Refresh Botanicals is the Foaming Facial Cleanser, $18.99 (150 ml). You don’t need much, use about a nickel size to achieve a lather. Its ingredients include Coconut Oil so that your face doesn’t get dehydrated when cleansing. Cucumber extract and Cornflower Water ensure additional moisturization for your skin. The Foaming Facial Cleanser contains 99.46% natural ingredients and 96.61% organic ingredients. My face felt super clean without the dryness after using Refresh Botanicals Foaming Facial Cleanser.

Refresh Botanicals Facial Toner, $18.99 (200 ml), is a light astringent to be applied after cleansing. The Facial Toner contains 99.74% natural ingredients and 85.57% organic ingredients. The Daily Facial Moisturizer, $18.99 (100 ml) contains Sweet Almond, Jojoba and Coconut Oils. This is another Refresh Botanicals product I particularly liked because the moisturizer absorbed nicely into my skin, leaving it smooth and plump. The Daily Facial Moisturizer contains 99.70% natural ingredients and 86.96% organic ingredients.

For skin that requires extra treatment, Refresh Botanicals has developed their Extra Care products that include the Intensive Serum, $23.99 (50 ml) and the Night Restore Complex, $23.99 (50 ml). These products contain Apple, Lentil and Watermelon extracts that reduce fine lines and increase hydration. The Intensive Serum contains 99.86% natural ingredients and 85.18% organic ingredients while the Night Restore Complex contains 99.72% natural ingredients and 83.68% organic ingredients. My skin just soaked up the Intensive Serum when I applied it. With Fig Fruit Extract and Grape Seed Oil, the serum left my face with a satiny finish. I applied the Night Restore Complex before going to bed to keep my skin hydrated while I slept. My skin felt super soft in the morning.

I absolutely love Refresh Botanicals BB Cream, $23.99 (50 ml). I have rosacea so, like Rudolph’s nose, my cheeks have a permanent red glow. I usually forgo wearing traditional makeup foundations since they are often heavy. Refresh Botanicals BB Cream is light in texture with colour that blends to your skin tone. The BB Cream provided just enough coverage to even out my skin and cover up red patches due to a key ingredient: Black Tea Ferment. I love that it contains Safflower, Almond and Jojoba oils to keep my skin hydrated. I will definitely wear the BB Cream when going out. The BB Cream’s ingredients are 99.73% natural and 81.66% organic.
Refresh Botanicals offer great value considering that they are natural and mostly organic beauty products. The packaging is simple and friendly and each product has a pump-style top to ensure you dispense only what you need.

Refresh Botanicals are available in Toronto at Welcome Guardian Pharmacy at 837 Danforth Avenue and 137 Roncesvalles Avenue and Main Drug Mart at 3265 Bayview Avenue. You can also order Refresh Botanicals online and receive free shipping on orders over $30.
I love natural and organic! This sounds like a dream product!
These sound like great products. I am not much into makeup, but I could use the Toner and Daily Facial Moisturizer.
This looks lovely! Love that there is a variety of different products. I could always use a new moisturizer!
I prefer natural products over any other kind. Thanks for sharing!
So do I, Kendra! Once you’ve transitioned to natural products, it’s very hard to use skincare products with artificial ingredients! Lori
Hello, Rudolph! hehe. I can relate since I have rosacea, too. Natural and organic products usually are pretty expensive so I was surprised when I read that the highest priced product is $23.99. I like the pump-style packaging — great for hygienic purposes. The BB cream seems like something I’d like. Sometimes I just don’t feel like putting on full-on foundation so a light coverage BB cream could maybe even out the skin tone without all the “heaviness” of foundation.
