I had the opportunity to check out the new Body Blitz Facial Bar Queen Street location on June 17, 2015 at their opening launch party. The Body Blitz Facial Bar is the first express facial bar in Toronto. I was warmly greeted by the rock-it promotions staff with a glass of sparkling wine.

The event was catered by Eadry Foods, which provided delicious canapés and cookies. Nibbles included tomato with feta in a cuke, a delicious three cheese pasta, and beef tenderloin on a crispy cracker.

The store decor is minimalist. Lots of white, grey and black. The feel is clean and sleek. There is a comfy white seat for patrons to wait for their appointment. Laura said she chose this location for the foot traffic; however, clients can make appointments online.

Laura Polley, the owner of the wildly popular Body Blitz , said she wanted to go the next step in blissing out by providing a facial bar. Body Blitz is a Toronto girl’s not-so-secret all-woman water therapy retreat. The facial bar is an express option to pamper yourself.

Body Blitz Facial Bar Treatments

Treatments start at half an hour with different options such as the Body-blitz and Glow ($48), The Extractor ($58), The Micro ($78) or The Works ($118), a full hour of pampering that combines all three treatments. You have the option to add booster shots for an additional $10. Laura’s sister, Rena, developed the products for the facial bar. She originally came up with the beard oil in her kitchen. The manly yet refreshing scent of cardamom and Argan oil will keep a man’s whiskers soft and touchable.

We each received a complimentary gift certificate for a facial, as well as samples of Body Blitz Facial Bar’s skincare line. I can’t way to experience a facial at Body Blitz Facial Bar and to try their products.

If you are in the neighbourhood and have a half hour to indulge yourself, check out Body Blitz Facial Bar at either the Leslieville location at 1133 Queen St. E., Toronto, or at the Queen Street West location at 803 Queen St. W., Toronto.

  1. I have to admit that I’ve never treated myself to a spa experience. At $118, The Works seems like a very reasonable price. I like the white furnishings – adds to the clean, sleek look of the spa.

    • Grace, Yes, I agree that the works at $118 sounds like a good deal. I also like that you can just get the extractor for $58 because that’s usually what I need to have done when I get a facial! Lori
