Look out! An annual music extravaganza is taking over Toronto’s east end. The 27th Annual Beaches International Jazz Festival will run an extra week from Friday, July 10, 2015 to Sunday, July 26, 2015 to coincide with the Toronto 2015 Pan Am Games.
Some of this year’s anticipated musical acts include Melbourne Ska Orchestra, and KC Roberts & The Live Revolution. Both of these acts are performing the first weekend of the Festival, July 10-12, 2015.

In honour of the Pan Am Games, a Pan Am Celebration will take place Friday, July 10 to Sunday, July 12, 2015 at the Pan Am Celebration Main Stage and the Pan Am Celebration Indie Stage at Woodbine Park, which is located at Northern Dancer Boulevard and Lake Shore Boulevard East. Artists scheduled to perform at the Pan Am Celebration Main Stage include Johannes Linstead, Melbourne Ska Orchestra and Toronto’s Andria Simone.
Up-and-coming local talent including Sarah Burton, Faye Blais and Sultans of String will perform at the Pan Am Celebration Indie Stage.
Jazz at Leslieville Farmers’ Market
This year, we’ll get to hear jazz via the Farmers’ Market Jazz Series at East Lynn Park Farmers’ Market and Leslieville Farmers’ Market. The Toronto All-Star Big Band will play at the East Lynn Park Market on Thursday, July 9, 2015 and the Leslieville Market on Sunday, July 12, 2015. Discovery Through the Arts will play at the East Lynn Park Market on Thursday, July 16, 2015 and the Leslieville Market on Sunday, July 19, 2015.
Taste of Jazz returns to Woodbine Park on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 and Wednesday, July 22, 2015 and will feature live music, Toronto’s gourmet food trucks and a beer and wine garden.
StreetFest at Beaches Jazz Festival
One of the highlights of the festival is StreetFest, when Queen Street East from Woodbine Avenue to Beech Avenue closes down to traffic from Thursday, July 23, 2015 to Saturday, July 25, 2015. Over 40 bands featuring Afro-Cuban, funk, R&B, soul, ska and big band sounds will perform along the two-kilometre stretch.
Jazz at Beach United Church
The parking lot at the Beach United Church will be the location for the Kew Beach World Beat Stage from Thursday, July 23, 2015 to Sunday, July 26, 2015. Performances include award-winning Ecuadorian music group The Imbayakunas and ‘gangsters of soul’ Pauly & the Goodfellas.
