Have you jumped on the coconut bandwagon? If not, here’s your chance to learn all about the benefits of coconuts at the Coconut Festival and Marketplace, taking place on Sunday, August 23, 2015 at David Pecaut Square in Toronto. Researchers have been touting the health benefits of coconuts and coconut food products for the last few years.

“Our goal is to educate consumers about the simplicity of a natural lifestyle and how coconuts can contribute to that in your day-to-day healthy living, preventing sickness and diseases,” says Filipino founder Anne Josef.
This free admission event will feature natural products, food vendors, chefs, naturopathic doctors, authors, health lecturers, farmers, and local businesses promoting health and wellness through the use of coconuts. Some of the speakers will discuss coconut therapy, pregnancy, and raising children naturally.
One of the featured speakers is Sunita Mohan, host of Health Matters on Rogers Cable 10, who will speak about good fats and how they support overall health and help you lose weight.

You’ll also enjoy entertainment, children’s games, coconut bowling contests, hula contests, free yoga, acro yoga, and cultural performers. The first 500 attendees will receive a complimentary goodie bag.
The Coconut Festival takes place Sunday, August 23, 2015 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at David Pecaut Square, Metro Hall, 215 King Street West, Toronto
