Torontonicity is fortunate to be able to receive a variety of beauty products to review. Here are some of our favourite beauty products that we sampled in summer 2015.
I don’t like it when my mascara goes on clumpy or uneven, especially when I’ve just purchased it. So I was hopeful when I received a sample of Lash Rebel Mascara ($33) by SST Cosmetics. This deluxe mascara goes on smoothly while at the same time extending your lashes. I also did not have to apply several layers to achieve the look I wanted. After eight hours of wear, there was still no flaking. This is my new go-to mascara. You can purchase SST Cosmetics online or at select Canadian salons.
MarieNatie Cosmetics contain natural ingredients and their lip gloss ($18) is organic, gluten free and vegan. MarieNatie lip gloss contains Vitamin E, sunflower oil and grape seed oil, which is said to reduce aging and wrinkles. Their lip gloss in Lust is an appealing light brown shade, which gives your lips a natural look. I like wearing this shade in summer for a change from my standard pinks; it really gives your face a “beach” look. Refresh Botanicals is a new line that is not only natural, but inexpensive. I really like Refresh Botanicals Foaming Facial Cleanser ($18.99) because you don’t need a lot of the product to achieve a lather and with ingredients that are 99.46% natural and 96.61% organic, it doesn’t leave a residue of harsh chemicals on your face. The pump spray nozzle makes it easy to disperse the amount of product you want on your palm. SoapStones is a company operating out of Huntsville, Ontario that makes natural, hand-crafted skincare products for the whole family. I’ve tried many different natural soaps, both bars and liquid soap, and SoapStones Olive Oil Hand Soap in Cedar & Saffron ($15) remains one of my favourites. This soap leaves your hands incredibly soft after using and the Cedar & Saffron scent reminds you of the cottage. Purchase at their store on Main Street East in Huntsville or order online.

Ohh I’d love to try that Refresh Cleanser! I’ve heard a bit about them lately and they look like a great inexpensive all-natural brand, we always need more of those!
That facial cleanser is calling my name! I need to try that because the weather change is really causing havoc on my skin.
Lash Rebel and Refresh Botanical look great! They all look good but those are the two that stand out to me most. Although I will say Cedar and Saffron hand soap in a liquid form is interesting too.
I am love with a new tinted moisturizer that I found. It is my new favorite.
These are very nice products and to think of it, I need a new mascara.

Olive oil Cedar and safron made me think of a cross between a salad and Paella Rice! Now im hungry and craving for some!=p Last thing on my mind was using it as a hand soap, but id love to try it!=)

I am always trying different brands of mascara to see which one works best. I have found that sometimes a cheap drugstore product works better then the expensive brands.
