You have to hand it to Fresh Collective for creating a fabulous shopping experience! I’ve been to all three of their beautifully curated Toronto boutiques that carry fashions from independent Canadian designers. Each store has a fantastic collection which enables the building of a versatile wardrobe with clothes that are designed for a woman’s body. If you’re a woman who is always on the go and looking for casual or professional clothes that work for your life and body type, then Fresh Collective is for you.
I’ve always noted that Fresh Collective has very friendly staff and Laura-Jean Bernhardson, CEO and founder of Fresh Collective, tells me they are hired for their very social personalities. The people who work here want to interact with you and have fun with your shopping, but are happy to leave you on your own, if that’s what you need. True to experience, I was greeted cheerfully by Sarah at the Roncy store. We chatted pleasantly as she pulled out clothes that she thought would look good on me. Some clothing looks so much better on a person than on the hanger and it is sooooo helpful to have someone in the know give you tips.
I enjoy playing with clothes and I love having versatile pieces that I can mix. I always keep an eye out for something that works with pieces I already have – so I visited the store wearing a skirt that I bought at Fresh Collective some time ago in the hopes that I could find a suitable top. With all the beautiful jewel colours in the skirt, it isn’t an issue finding something that works well with it. Sarah found several tops that complement the skirt and also look good on me in colours that I LOVE!
This Chameleon shirt fits tight on top and widens on the bottom which is quite flattering – it’s forgiving of the figure or can give the illusion of curves on a slight figure. Made of 95% Rayon Bamboo and 5% Spandex, it caresses the skin…so lovely and soft.

I already saw two tops that I liked and I thought this one would work well in many ways. Could I really limit myself to one new top?
I really have to emphasize how comfortable the clothes are. If you’ve seen my style profile, you’ve seen that I’m very active. I even tend to my workplace garden during lunch and I want to be able to do that in my office wear…and I do!

This head-turning print dress with a round neck collar on one side and tip of the other is reversible. Seriously?! Yes, reversible! This dress has a bamboo contrasting band at the bottom of the skirt, collar and waist. It is a two-for-one deal. Looks great worn either way.
Fascinated by this designer, I found out that Cherry Bobin is a Quebec company that specializes in comfortable ready-to-wear for women, mainly made of high-quality eco fabrics.
Seeing so many beautiful dresses at Fresh Collective was fabulous and I knew it was time to get a new dress. I had to try on this printed dress with contrasting sleeves reminiscent of a bolero. This dress also focuses on comfort with a delicate feminine touch.
Style Coach Elf Sarah guided me through choices that looked like very nice possibilities for my wardrobe.

With so many great choices, it was hard to narrow my purchases down to a few. I left that day with the Robe Boléro and the Chameleon shirt. I’m thinking madly about the reversible Robe Audrey.

The experience at Fresh Collective is exceptionally inspiring. Because the items are one- (or very few) of-a-kind, the selection is different each time you go in; you’ll find it worthwhile to make frequent trips. This is THE place to visit for wardrobe building; finding those unique pieces that you’ll LOVE that will last you through various seasons, events and situations.
I really need to do that! Is it sad that at 35 years old, I still don’t know how to dress my body?? Especially after kids, it has gone through so many changes!! It looks like a fabulous line of clothing. I absolutely love that 2 in one dress!!!
Looks like you had an awesome shopping experience! Thank you for sharing the pics. You look fabulous in all your selections. This store does not exist in California, where I am from. However, whenever I am in Toronto I will be sure to look it up! Thanks for sharing!
Those are such cute outfits! I love that the one dress is a two in one, great way to add different options to your wardrobe. The red dress is adorable and looks great on you as well.
The clothes at Fresh Collective make dressing a whole lot easier. Throw on a dress and shoes and your look is complete. Add some jewellery or scarf for extra pizzazz. Really the clothes do just fine on their own.
That two in one dress is so beautiful! Kudos to the designer.
These are some seriously cute dresses. I really love the last one. It’s a different and fun. =) I have never been a dress person. I feel you have to have a certain kind of style to wear them and that’s not me. haha. But girl you are rocking them and they all look great on you!!
These outfits are perfect. I adore the two dresses in one! How cool is that and so easy to change it up! I love the combo of leggings and long dresses for the fall and winter with a cute pair of boots!
It looks like you definitely had a blast trying on new outfits! I’d have to say the red one is my favorite, it shows off your figure really well! Thank you for sharing this great experience! 🙂
I love shopping at retailers like this, and it’s really fun to try on different pieces to see what you can come up with. I am a fan of dresses and drapey-like blouses. I like the black/white dress you tried on, as well as the look of the purple top.
