I attended a media preview of the Whole Life Expo 2015 held at the Toronto Botanical Garden and met with some of the show vendors.

David of Skin Essence Organics told us about the benefits of using Skin Essence Organics. Skin Essence Organics do not contain water, which can cause other ingredients to spoil faster; Skin Essence Organics are bottled in amber glass to prevent UV light from degrading the ingredients; the products contain no synthetic ingredients and they are inexpensive.
RawFoodz is a Toronto company that makes organic, raw, vegan, gluten-free, nut-free and soy-free products including Organic French Onion Dip and Organic Sea-zar Serenity Caesar-style dressing. Both of these products taste amazing, full of flavour. I definitely recommend picking up some of these products when you’re at the show. You could even hand-pick some of these products to make your own holiday gift basket to give to family and friends.

Pure and Simple, a popular Toronto natural health beauty products store, was on hand showcasing some of their holiday kits including the Pure and Simple Sensitive Skin Kit. The kit retails for $25 and contains Pure and Simple’s Sensitive Cleansing Milk, Sensitive Skin Exfoliant, Hydration Serum and Skin Drink. Pure and Simple offers other kits for dry skin and mature skin. Wouldn’t this kit make a great stocking stuffer?

We got to sample some of the delicious fresh organic juices from Oakville’s Green Press Inc. Green Press’s juices contain no additives, preservatives or added sugar. Some of their juices include Beet It (orange, carrots, beets, celery, ginger), Evergreens (spinach, parsley, cucumber, celery, ginger, lemon, green apple), Go Green Melon (melon, cucumber, green apple, ginger) and Colour Me Healthy (apple, carrot, turmeric, lemon).

Skip the potato chips and reach for these Kale Chips from Healthy Crunch, which come in several flavours: Nearly Naked, The Big Chipotle, Bollywood Blast, Say Cheeze and Monkey Business. I tried Nearly Naked, which is a plain kale chip sweetened with coconut sugar and The Big Chipotle, a spicy kale chip. I enjoyed them both, but probably liked the Nearly Naked flavour the best.
