Paint Cabin is the new kid on the block where one can unwind and explore their creative side while having a lot of fun! This amazing space, located at 725 Gerrard Street East at Degrassi Street, is inviting and sure to kick start a revitalization of this section of Gerrard Street East.

The Cabin décor is a perfect blend of old and rustic with new and modern full of life, inspiration, colour and imagination. Once inside, your creative juices start to flow with excitement and joy.
Just as our physical body requires certain nutrients to survive, so does our human soul. Painting is a great way to express your thoughts and feelings, to release stress and tension and just let go and unwind.

In our always connected world of television, social media and on-demand everything, art offers an outlet and a release, allowing you to ignore all the incoming signals at least for a short time. This is why owner Gord Wong wanted to create a social space where people could unplug over drinks and laughs while playing with paint to ignite their imagination. Studies have shown that spending time nurturing our creativity helps make us happier, less anxious, more resilient and better equipped to problem-solve in the face of hardships.
The layout is perfect: it’s spacious, it’s comfortable, it’s inviting and can be utilized for a variety of private events of up to 60 people. Paint Cabin is licensed for wine and beer and they have an espresso machine, a variety of specialty coffees and teas, along with bottled water, juice and energy drinks.

Paint Cabin currently offers art workshops in five mediums: watercolour, acrylic, woodcut, mixed media and charcoal. No experience is required, just a willingness to let go and enjoy. Each workshop lasts about 2 1/2 hours at a cost of $40, and you end up with a personalized piece of art to take home.
Paint Cabin also offers open studio time for budding artists and professionals who are welcome to bring along their own materials and use the easels and communal art table for as long as they like with a purchase from the café. Canvases and other art materials are available for purchase.
My daughter-In-law and I had a great time at Paint Cabin and it will definitely not be our last. It was something we could both enjoy even with our age gap. That is another thing I love, Paint Cabin can be enjoyed by all age groups and genders and the food, drinks and sweets were all delicious. Stop in and check out Paint Cabin for yourself; I guarantee you will not be disappointed.
