Did 2015 go by quickly for you? It sure did for us. If you are not planning to attend Toronto New Year’s Eve 2016 parties, but still want to celebrate the arrival of 2016, we have compiled some exciting things to do New Year’s Eve Toronto.

New Year’s Eve 2016 at Second City Toronto

If you’re looking for things to do New Year’s Eve Toronto, consider Second City Toronto’s Click Bait & Switch show – a comedy night featuring twists, turns and surprises. Inspired by those tricky web links, Click Bait & Switch is full of absurd characters and Twitter-sharing scenes from 2015. Dinner packages available at Wayne Gretzky’s Restaurant next door. Shows at 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. Tickets for the 7 p.m. show are $55 for general seating (you will be sharing a table) and $80 for rail seating (located mid-way back from the stage). Tickets for the 10 p.m. show are $65 for general seating and $90 for rail seating. Dinner and show packages are $124.87 for the 7 p.m. show and $136.17 for the 10 p.m. show.

5th Annual MyNextRace.com Midnite Run and Party

Skip the three-course dinner and get healthy on New Year’s Eve 2016 with the 5th Annual MyNextRace.com Midnite Run on Thursday, December 31, 2015 beginning at 11 p.m. The 5k run starts at midnight at Liberty Market Galleria, 121 East Liberty Street and there will be a post-race party. All participants (runners and also just partiers) receive a swag bag, beer and champagne (one each) and post race food. The Phantom of the Opera at Princess of Wales Theatre

Enjoy “The Music of the Night” at Cameron Mackintosh’s new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom of the Opera, which is being performed at the Princess of Wales Theatre on Thursday, December 31, 2015 at 2:30 p.m. This new North American production features new special effects, scenic and lighting designs, staging and choreography. Tickets are $59, $89, $107, $140 and $210 and can be purchased online.

New Year’s Eve Comedy Extravaganza at Massey Hall

Join comedian Shaun Majumder, who will host New Year’s Eve Comedy Extravaganza at Massey Hall on Thursday, December 31, 2015 at 7:30 p.m. for a night of laughs. Headlining the night is Simon B. Cotter with guests Peter Anthony, Eman El-Husseini, Sean Emeny, Mark Heath, Darryl Orr, Keith Pedro and Nick Beaton with musical entertainment provided by The Two Headed Ian Dury Tribute Band. Tickets are $39.50 – $69.50 and can be purchased online.
