Vichy Idéalia Skin Sleep Review

Taking better care of my health and body is my number one New Year’s resolution so when I was given the opportunity to try Vichy Idéalia Skin Sleep Recovery Night Gel-Balm on a complimentary basis, I quickly agreed. () I am always interested in trying new skincare products to determine which ones work best on my skin.

A lot of companies make false claims about their skincare products, promising glowing results. It’s hard to sift through marketing clichés to determine if a product will really work. I’m at the age where I want my skin to look rested and refreshed and that doesn’t always happen on its own.

Vichy Idéalia Skin Sleep is promoted as being good for dull skin or fine lines. Vichy states that using Idéalia Skin Sleep mimics the repair activity that happens to skin during the deep sleep period. They claim that skin will look “smoother and more luminous” after one week’s use of the product.

Active Ingredients in Idéalia Skin Sleep

Idéalia’s active ingredients stimulate the skin’s deep sleep mechanisms to recreate their reparative effects: Glycyrrhizic acid is anti-inflammatory, Hyaluronic acid is responsible for plumping and hydrating skin while caffeine stimulates circulation. Jasmine and green tea have been added for their calming benefits. Idéalia Skin Sleep is hypoallergenic and contains no parabens and is suitable for all skin types.

The directions indicate to apply a thick layer to the face and neck one to three times per week. You are then supposed to let the gel penetrate the skin for 10 to 15 minutes, then massage any excess gel into the skin. Place your thumbs on the temples and the ring fingers in-between the eyebrows and apply a relaxing pressure. The last step is key to creating a relaxed state before going to bed.

I applied a layer of Idéalia Skin Sleep to my face before going to bed. First, I will say that I love the texture and smell of the product. The gel is cooling to the skin and the fragrance is pleasing. There wasn’t a lot of excess gel to massage into my skin because my skin tends to be dehydrated, but I did gently massage the remaining gel into my skin. I immediately noticed how smooth my skin felt, but of course, the real test was whether my skin would feel as smooth in the morning.

Results of Using Idéalia Skin Sleep

I woke up the next morning and, unlike The Weeknd, I could feel my face…and it was silky and supple. I looked in the mirror and I noticed that my cheek area was definitely plumped up. It’s hard to believe that a product could produce results so quickly, but Idéalia Skin Sleep did and my skin continued to feel soft throughout the day. I have continued to use the product for several days with the same excellent results. I recommend using Idéalia Skin Sleep because it does what it promises.

  1. I do moisturize and wear a sunscreen daily, and use wipes to remove all my make up at night before I use my night cream

  2. I put in a good 5 minutes every night cleansing and moisturizing my face. I love my clarisonic. I have yet to find my FAVOURITE moisturizer thought! I have dry skin, so I am always on the hunt for a deep treating moistuzier.

  3. cleanse my face every night and put a night time moisturizer on, I apply moisturizer to my skin every day , thanks for the chance to win

  4. Would love to try a new product for my skincare routine have other Vichy products that I really liked too

  5. I always wash my face at night no matter how late or tired I am. I also tone and moisturize my skin at night and in the morning.

  6. Yes, I have a routine. I basically use a daytime spf moisturizer and a nignt cream. I sometimes switch it up and use pure retinol once a week.

  7. Yes i have a skin care routing, to wash my face in the morning and before bed, and to apply moisturizer in the am and pm.

  8. I have the simplest of routines. I remove my makeup with coconut oil, wash my face with cetaphil, and that’s about it!

  9. I try to stay with my routine, but sometimes my laziness takes over. It’s a very basic routine…I wash my face with whatever face wash I have and then I usually put cream on it. Lately, I’ve been using coconut oil, but my cat won’t stop licking my face lol! I need to go back to just regular cream.

  10. My skin care routine is basically wash & go. Throw on some moisturizer & lip balm & occasionally some sun screen (yeah I know). Time to be more pro-active!

  11. I have very dry skin & diabetes and I need to try a product in order to see if it works for me. I wear a full face Bipap mask and it also adds some pressure on my facial skin. Would love to try this product. Thanks for the personal assessment.

  12. I have a morning and nightly routine for my skin care. It consists of cleansing, moisturizing and weekly AHA treatments.

  13. I have had a skin care routine for decades. I cleanse my face morning and evening, and use a moisturising cream at night and an anti aging cream during the day.

  14. I have a very basic skin care routine–gentle face washing, and daily use of my moisturizing and SPF 15 face cream. I use hand cream and body cream once or twice daily as well.

  15. I apply sunscreen in the morning and then moisturizer before applying makeup. Before bed, I remove my makeup and moisturize again.

  16. i try, however, i often get lazy and too tired at night to keep it up — i try to moisturize daily, but cleansing often falls by the wayside.

  17. This has been my new year’s resolution. Using something my mom gave me to start but looking at different options. Would love to try this and see how it works.

  18. As a teenager I had a routine of cleansing, toning and moisturizing. Then I had kids and the routine was washing and mayonnaising my face. Now I am old and washing is all I do….and it shows!

  19. Now that it’s winter, I try to use a cleanser that is appropriate for this time of year. When I was younger, I didn’t do that and I could feel it but didn’t think there was something different out there. When you’re young, you don’t think your skin is ‘dry’. I thought my skin felt clean after washing.

  20. Yes I do…..Both morning and before bed I use Vichy’s One-Step Cleanser and a day/night moisturiser. I usually do not buy the moisturiser from Vichy as they are a little to expensive for me. I do love Vichy and is my favourite brand to buy.

  21. Now that I am getting older(35), I know I need to have a beauty routine but honestly I dont probably because I dont know where to begin!!

  22. Yes I always cleanse in the morning before make/up, cleanse and moisturize at night. Occasionally I exfoliate and apply a mask.
    Thanks!

  23. i could lie and say i have a skin care routine lol but no i don’t. i sometimes remember to take my makeup off … but i really need one as i’m starting to get fine lines and blotchy skin.
i absolutely love vichy and the idealia smells like heaven!!

  24. I always moisturise morning and night, but am not yet loyal to a particular brand. I have sensitive skin so I’ve been experimenting with heavier night creams. Vichy has a good rep for sensitive skin, so I’d be interested to try this.

  25. I like to cleanse, moisturize daily and always wear sunscreen with SPF.
I also love experimenting with luxurious creams that can hydrate my aging skin.
It would be lovely to try the Vichy facial cream.Tanks for the chance. 🙂

  26. Skincare is so important! A gentle cleanser, toner, serum and moisturizer are absolute musts. Healthy glowing skin can take some effort, but it is so worth it!

  27. My skin care routine is using a gentle skin cleanser such as Cetaphil or Cerave, followed by a deep moisturizing cream formulated for sensitive skin – especially at this time of year when it’s so drying!

  28. I do a cold water splash after washing my face at night, then put on Olay night cream. In the morning, same thing but I use Olay lotion. Very basic.

  29. Yes, I have a routine (although I get pretty lazy about it sometimes); I use a cleanser, toner and moisturizer.
